Japanese <yoi> (/joi/ "good") reminds me of Hungarian /jo:/ (<jo'>). Is this a case of "chance resemblance" (as Mark Rosenfelder calls the looking-alike of Chinese <ren1> and Quechua <runa>, "person") or is there a connection? --Robert
