It's Danish, and he actually has a sound file of himself saying "Hi, I'm
Peter Ladefoged!" or somesuch on his webpage!
P.S. I will defer to Lars for any attempt at transcribing the Danish
pronunciation -- it isn't the one PL uses, anyway.
