Normally we pronounce it as [pi*r.]. :) But when others get confused between the prof and the computer lab technician, we tack on ['l&*@fowg@d] (or ['l&*@fowgId] for some speakers). Marcus Smith Unfortunately, or luckily, no language is tyrannically consistent. All grammars leak. -- Edward Sapir
