Piraha & Dyscalculia

I read an article about dyscalculia(?) in a French magazine last week. It is
apparently a hereditary impediment impairing the ability to count, calculate
and handle abstract concepts like number, definition and colours (IIRC but I
was in a hurry when I read it) and...draw straight lines! It made me think
of Piraha a few minutes ago. Any chance there is a connection?
