Yes, I'm currently finding it vexing that I can't learn Láadan online; or, apparantly, offline. I've be having trouble tracking down an actual copy of "A First Dictionary and Grammar of Láadan". Amazon is willing to sell me one for $40 US, thought they admit they don't have any to sell. amazon.ca sold me one for $15 CA, but sent me a 'your order is delayed 3-5 weeks' notice. Is Canadian customs still classifying feminist literature as pornography? On the happy side, Feminist Press has re-issued _Native_Tongue_ and are about to re-issue _Judas_Rose_ and _Earthsong_. I doubt we could talk them into issuing FDGL, as it's probably too small a market. I expect you're right, that failure of Láadan to be open was a barrier to its popularity; an odd decision, given that her intent was to have it developed and extended by a community of speakers. Surely the example of Esperanto showed that was one of the important ways to get a conlang popularized. Erich
