We (translation: they) have a saying: It's like eating ice-cream in

Spare me the pearls. Straws that look and feel like you're gonna
shoot blow darts. Gnarly texture. There was an episode of "The View"
a couple of years back, where Lisa Ling was describing that pearl
drinks were now all the rage on the West Coast. Her colleagues tried
them and made exactly the same "what-if-your-face-froze-like-that"
expression that I did when I first tried one. It's a cultural thing.
