Well, for noun cases, just look at English. We're almost completely case-free, and the possessive is not really necessary. "The man house" would work just as well as "the man's house". Tenses aren't really necessary, either. "Yesterday, I go to store, tomorrow I go again." -- "There's no such thing as 'cool'.
