Yep. However, "u" can be pronounced /y/ and the digraph "oe" represents
rounded /E/, from ON ó.

Roughly. "Y" represents /@/ when vocalic and /j/ when consonantal. No thorn
or edh, they're both represented as "th", which is /D/ when intervocalic and
/T/ everywhere else.

Yep, words I think "fit in" more are borrowed from OE, like yenow from
genog. There is no system to this, it's all down to aesthetics.

Simplified, not dropped. Here's an example of the three noun declensions:

"War" from var, "wa" is a typo. Cwa's = cwa is "which is". Hv becomes cw.

Largely. V2 is the general rule, except in the preterite one finds V1,
though this is merely a stylistic point, whatever flows better.
