Pretty fantastic for Ithaca, NY, and it's a tiny town. But "luxury" apts
near Collegetown--the rent goes up to around $800-$1000/mo. and there are
people who *pay* this. Even a pretty worn-down, lousy apt. sufficiently
close to Collegetown (especially a single) can be relatively expensive.
I lived in a spacious but horribly poorly-maintained single last year for
$550/mo. (utilities included). Now it's a much nicer apt. with 3 other
housemates, in an apt. building with laundry in the basement (thank
goodness), for $370/mo. plus electricity bills.
