I did mention this idea a while ago, but didn't get any responses. I'm
still interested in trying to organize some kind of gathering here, but I'd
really like to know who might be interested. I'm not asking for any firm
commitments, but it would be helpful if anybody who thinks they might be
interested would let me know (either by private e-mail or through this
list), and also let me know what general time frame(s) would be good for
them. Sally's suggestion about doing it in the summer is the first specific
feedback I've gotten on this.
As I said before, what I had in mind was to host something at my house if
it's only a few people. (But if it's in the summer, be warned: we don't
have air conditioning.) Or if it turns out to be larger, we could try to
arrange for a motel or something. To even begin to seriously think about
it, I need to have at least a rough (order of magnitude) estimate of how
many people might be involved.
