IPA tone numbers?

Finally finished that English paper and can get on with all my linguistics final
projects. Hurray! I have another tone question now. Is there a standard IPA way
to represent tones? I seem to remember somebody on the list using two-digit
numbers to describe some tones.
For everybody's amusement, my final projects are - invent an Indo-European
subfamily which moves to China and develops tonality; catalogue the vowels and
consonants of Hokkien (a southern dialect of Chinese); describe the syntax of
"got" in Singaporean English. All this inside of the next 8 days! Would you
believe I'm supposed to be a medieval English specialist? :þ
