Right now, PP subclause to verb is an object of the verb.
There are 3 kinds of objects : oblique, patient--which i now call
"direct"--and focus--which i now call "indirect".
The subclause to a verb with "that" as in "i think that...", "i say
that...", etc., always introduces a "focus"/"indirect object".
Tags:
Oblique (OO): -ngu (suffixed to verb), yangu, wangu (when the object is not
right after the verb)
Direct (DO): -ngi, yangi, wangi
Indirect (IO): -ngi, yangi, wangi
Pikani a kiriringa yangi tasuki a mukimukiringa pakisi.
I do opiniate IO work does exhaust-DO life.
I think that working consumes one's life.
The DO and IO tags are usually dropped when the objects are right after the
verb:
Pikani a kiriringa tasuki a mukimukiri pakisi.
I do opiniate work does exhaust life.
I think that working consumes one's life.
Wangi is used when the subclause is further apart from the verb:
Pikani a kiriringa u marisa wangi tasuki a mukimukiri pakisi.
I do opiniate @ now IO work does exhaust life.
I now think that working consumes one's life.
