The flame-haired, green-eyed, freckled, untanning people I've known
have chiefly though not exclusively been Irish, Scottish, Norwegian and
Dutch. Yet apparently Chinese sources describe Tocharians as red haired and
green-eyed. I had previously read that the depigmentation gene was basically
Scandinavian, but if the Celts carried it west and the Tocharians east, then
it sounds like it must have originally been associated with the ur-IE
population in S. Ukraine or thereabouts.

As I've said in the past, any references to up-to-date and authoritative
works on physical anthropology would be gratefully received by me.

ObConlang/Conculture: Apparently there was a wave of red-haired Iron-age
migrants to Scungria, though I may be citing this info from an obsolete
source.
