He was talking about the ideas current Christians espouse, not the ones Christ
died for. There's quite a world between them. I believe in Jesus-Christ and find
his teachings very worthy, yet I refuse to be considered Christian, because the
very same ideas Christ taught are the ones Christians should use on themselves
before daring try and give lessons to other people (especially the last one you
cited). Remember how Jesus reacted when he went to the temple and saw it invaded
by merchants? If he was to come back now and saw what Christianity has become, I
don't think he would have a different reaction...
