I tend to agree. Original, native texts are probably the best for
something like this.

How long should it be? I can try to write something up; but my conlang's
lexicon is still quite small, so it may not be long enough to be
interesting. OTOH, I'm currently working on a very simple (primitive)
poetic narrative, which will probably turn out to be 2-3 four-line verses.
Would that be sufficient?
