Indeed. I really like how he maintains the literary conceit
of linguistic description:
"This work was funded in part by the American Science Foundation (ASF
Grant:#94-184061).... I wish to thank my advisors, Frederic W. Gleach,
Greg Anderson, and Mary Swinson. Without their advice, this work could
not have been done. I also wish to thank the United States Navy for
their generous support at McMurdo Station. I want to express my gratitude
to the government of New Zealand for giving me permission to work with
the Tôlte. I cannot fail to thank my many friends in the Tôlte nation,
especially the Shaman Soqhai. All errors are my own."
(I wonder if Greg Anderson knows Brad made this page mentioning him
as an "advisor")
