::wickedly mischievious grin:: I kinda like to think of my conlangs as
being like really weathered, overloved, battered toy pianos... or better yet,
an old toy piano 1/2 wrecked, 1/2 clumsily "repaired" [de-tuned even further
than normal and "prepared"/"mutated"] on purpose.
Remember the Feral Kid playing with an old banged-up music box mechanism
in the movie _Road Warrior_ ? Kinda like that... languages that have a
post-Western Civ feel to them attract me (i.e. Papua NiuGini's Tok Pisin &
it's close relative, Bislama*).
* Bislama (Beche-le-Mer) - any language named after an edible sea slug is
"tres cool" in my book. The fact that it is a pidgin makes it even "tastier."
[BTW I love eating seaslug soup... I am Southern Chinese-Indonesian afterall].
