Hi all,
I realized I screwed up some of the Phaleran data:
> (2) a. pyaka pongeiyullu atherul
> head.ABS sword-3Sg-ERG father-3Sg.ABS

In both cases, equivalent of "his father's head" is a head-
marking structure, literally "the father his-head". But as
I have it above, it means "the head his-father". So the
'pyaka' should be 'pyakal', and the 'atherul' should be
'ather'. But this is not relevant to the larger question at
hand of binding.
