The list member from Massachusetts graciously accepts the position -
after all, it was I who used an innocent and lighthearted query regarding
the national anthem to make a statement as bitter as it was misplaced,
causing at least one other list member to fly into a blind rage and
retaliate with equally pointless and condescending responses.
Ay, I've learned through my errors. It won't happen again.
