Yes. There were examples from a couple of languages like these discussed
at a recent conference on irrealis I attended. Unfortunately, I seem to
have lost the handout, but there were languages which used the irrealis
for the future and the realis for the past, languages with realis :
irrealis = actual : hypothetical and even with a combination of these,
which only used the realis for past actual. Two of the examples were in
Australia and one of them was, I think, a language of the Cree.
