I have a lot (probably dozens) of half-baked conlangs hanging around. I
am not looking for the perfect conlang, but, for me, it is all about
expression. Sometimes I start one, and it just doesn't work, sometimes
it works for a while, and sometimes... Well, sometimes I just get the
urge to start a new language to express new things that I happen to be
going through.
ea-luna, which wasn't really intended to be a serious effort when I
first started it, is my most complete language, and I leave it alone for
long, long periods of time. Then I will look at it again and it will
suddenly seem a lot more interesting than I remembered it.
A lot of my conlanging consists of 1 or 2 pages of notes, working out a
new idea, without really developing it into a language. I keep those
around too, for recycling. :)

Irregularities just seem to happen for me. Sometimes I make things
irregular on purpose... Mostly, though, irregularities happen when I
have a flash of inspiration about how to handle a particular thing--
ea-luna is a MOSTLY regular language, but then there are some
irregularities that just seemed to be more aesthetically pleasing than
the regular forms would have been.
