Russian is a language I've always been meaning to learn. I only know a few
words, but my Russian acquaintances tell me that my accent is nearly
flawless.
Related question for the musicians on the list. The "Vespers" series by
Rachmaninoff -- what language is it written in? I've heard two answers:
either Russian, or Old Church Slavonic.
Another question: how different *are* the two languages? Could OCS be
accurately described as "King James Russian", so to speak? Or is there more
difference between them?
