Well, that's wht using the dehydrated veggie chips worked so well. Evferything neede about the same time to rehydrate and soften. Even the lily petals. The Graavguurdaan do it because that's how they traditionally preserved vegetables and fruits for the winter monts. It was concidered a winter dish. Oh, and it was regular sweet bananas in the veggie chips I was using, not plantains. As for the pork thing. I've always liked pork more than I should, but since I moved to Taiwan I eat it more than ever. If I want meat it's usually gonna hafta be pork or chicken 'cause I'm NOT paying what beef costs or driving clear across twon to find it on a regular basis. I add a bit of fish into my diet occasionally, but I never have been a real big fish eater. Most of my protien now comes from nuts and TOFU!! I have become a tofu freak. Iliked it back home, but all the different varieties over here are tofuheaven!
