Swedish:
"Om du kallar mig tokig en gång till
så kommer jag äta upp ditt andra öga."
T = t-gender / neutral gender
N = n-gender / common gender
om du kalla-r mig tokig en gång till
if you call-PRS me:OBJ crazy one:N time:N more*
så kommer jag äta upp ditt andra öga
so/then FUT** I eat:INF up your:T other*** eye:T
* _till_ = 'to'
** _kommer_ = 'come'
* _andra_ is the form used in definite (sg and pl) phrases
as well as in the plural
Cein:
"Eneiss te ni ymeth, mathow ni i en ddeun tew."
en-eiss te ni ymeth, math-ow ni i en ddeun tew
re-call:SUBJ 2SG 1SG "no-skilled" eat -FUT I the eye other your
The Cein version is very tentative. I'm not at all sure
about the subjunctive form, which might be an irrealis form,
and I'm not sure if the _-ow_ future form is the right one
to use here. I can probably find a better word for "insane"
too, although I'm off to Skåne in southern Sweden until Sunday
and wanted to finish this before I left.
