Or simply "Celtic have acquired" :). Around the corner from my house,
there's a piece of graffitti on a railway bridge(*) which reads
"Earlsdon rule". Earlsdon is the name of the once-village
now-area-of-Coventry that I live in, but the plural verb means that this
piece of graffitti can only be understood as a reference to some local
sports team (though what sport I know not. They even play Kricket around
these parts).

* Note that proximity to railway tracks doesn't really reflect badly on
a locality over here :)
