Well, in the context of conlanging, remember the "mapwords" system I came
up a few weeks ago. In a post entitled "More on Mapwords" I suggested a way
to use mapwords in a free word order syntax, by making each mapword contain
a reference to its own position in the sentence. If somebody had said,
"That's an outrageous idea!", my reply would have been, "Thank you."
