The program you are seeking (werd, a "a tiny word generator that takes a set
of rules for word-building and randomly generates a word") may be found at
the bottom of http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~pound/, along with several other
similar programs. I like word because it can speak Geordi Laforgese. :)
I have tried to port this to Python, but got stuck because I'm not fluent in
Perl. :(
