i'm afraid bac has no natural singular pluralities,
plurality being marked by a vowel modification which
cannot occur in a root.
however, synonyms do occur because of the way words
are generated.
for a rood CVC, there is a series with different
vowels. for example
gij=area above the eye, eyebrow
gej=little eye, eyelet, microscope, close examination
gaj=eye, view
goj=big eye, telescope, overview
guj=area under the eye, cheek
however, sometimes these systems clash.
gil=inside
gal=female ( originally the same root ; suc is outside
and sac is male the reference is to the location of
the genitalia )
gel=vicinity or girl ( small gil or small gal ).
borrowings can also cause problems, so reyg=monarch
could be confused with the future tense of reg ( yet
meaningless ).
errm, that's it on that.
