Yeah, that's why I said "in some dialects". In mine, it's definitely a tripthong, /ajr/, just like "iron" is /ajrn/, in my idiolect. Altho, other people say it differently, and my Mom tends to tease me about my pronunciation of that word. :-) -- "There's no such thing as 'cool'.
