I remember having a crush on one of my male teachers when I was about nine -
ten. It wasn't exactly overt; I had learned by even that young age, to not
wear emotions on my sleeve ...
That of course faded, and I found myself typically heterosexually attracted to
someone of my own age in my own class at about 14 years of age. She was a
new girl, with dark hair and a good smile, and I suppose I found the newness
compelling - since most of the other girls had already worn out whatever
welcome they might've had waiting, by being obnoxious.
Sic est vita - Iyha, iyha ailyha! Inuaa nu varei. U'af ewero!

Mau e ki, "He aha te mea nui?"
You ask, "What is the most important thing?"
Maku e ki, "He tangata, he tangata, he tangata."
I reply, "It is people, it is people, it is people."
