In my own conlang of Gl=F6rsa, there are five punctuation marks. Kem
holixh (stop mark) shows the end of a sentence and is written like a
colon: two dots, one on top of the other. Kem tril (rest mark) shows a
brief pause or a slight change in direction or thought and is written
like a period: a single dot near the base line. Kem amoth (bridge
mark) shows a longer pause or a more significant change in direction
or thought or a linking between two complete sentences. It is written
like a colon with a small dash between the dots. Kem pasha (separation
mark) separates out a list, a quote less than a paragraph long, or an
apposotive from the main sentence, and is written like a small dash.
Kem k=F6lew (speaking mark) looks like an equal sign (two small dashes,
one atop the other) and indicates a quote that is a paragraph or
longer. The entire quote begins and ends with a kem k=F6lew.
There is no distinction made in punctuation between question,
exclamation, and statement... Gl=F6rsa syntax makes it very clear when
there is a question (using a 'question word' similar to Esperanto) and
exclamations would likely use an emphatic or imperative modifier on
the verb.
Pronounce notes: xh =3D gutteral in Scottish loch
=F6 =3D the o in no, but a bit more rounded and 'darker'
