There's others too. I was just making a blanket statement -- and like almost
all blanket statements, it is not completely correct.

Simple. Same reason cars are feminine. It's a guy thing -- we love our
vehicles, we give them female names. Widespread homophobia wouldn't allow any
other option. ;-)
