I'm very new to the conlang list, but here's my story.

Since I was about 6 I started inventing cultures (conculture?) and from then it was only logical to start on languages. Tolkien was the biggest influence, together with an Esperanto grammar I found somewhere. 2) What is your purpose in creating languages? Is it a personal art, an

Escaping. And all of the above. 3) How have people reacted when you tell them about it?
Well... the few people I've told already thought I was nuts, so nothing changed ;) 4) Did conlanging lead you places you never expected it to take you?
Yep, I'm now an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher and a tour guide. I've met some very interesting people also. Sapthan, a.k.a. Ayam Beamonte.
