This is one that the Kash would like to translate, since it can be done in
three ways:

> sani tu Oise a > the sea is Beautiful.
1. yavirik {ya-virik} e roçe 3s-beautiful DEF sea-- A general statement, with which no Kash would argue. 2. yavirik roçe ya (~ye) 3s-beautiful sea that(masc.) ~(fem.) referring either to the (visible, not previously mentioned) sea at a particular moment, or in agreement with someone's statement that "The (name) sea is beautiful". (yes, the sea is animate, I'm not sure whether it's M or F. 3. yavirik roçeni {roçe-ni} 3s-beautiful sea-its/the-- very much like #2, more colloquial, but referring only to the visible sea, at a particular moment. The -ni indicates either that the sea has been mentioned already, or, more likely, that it is something that both speaker and hearer are focussing on right now, perhaps two lovers, hand in hand, walking along the beach, looking out at the sea as the full moon rises............... The opening line of M.Arnold's "Dover Beach"-- "The sea is calm tonight..." would be translated with "roçeni".
