Zaandam is immediately next to Amsterdam, to the North. It is separated
from it by a canal, that's all. From my home to Amsterdam it's only 10
minutes (I work in Amsterdam, you see) by car, while the train from our
station to Amsterdam CS takes 12 minutes.

No problem at all! As I said, you're there within half an hour at longest.

No problem. But it is a Monday, which means that I'll be working, so I'll
be available only in the late afternoon. Perhaps I could get a day off.

Yes. And another historical fact of Zaandam is that czar Peter I spent some
time here learning how to make boats.

Well, you are both very welcome!

Yes, I was there too back in 1988, when Ceausescu was still in charge. I
visited Bucharest and Brasov then. It made a great impression on me,
although the food was horrible (but that was the system rather than the
culture, I guess).
