Doraya has some pretty straightforward words for directions,
derived from _ainde_ 'way' + various other nouns (interpret following
apostrophe as an accent on the preceding vowel):
_aindos_ 'east' ( > "rising way")
_aindya'vi_ 'west' ( > "dusk way")
_aindur_ 'north' ( > "cold way")
_aindo'lya_ 'south' ( > "hot way")
Question: naming directions by temperature, at least to me,
seems logical enough, but I haven't seen it come up in any of the
{nat,con}lang examples on the list so far. Is there any precedent for
this?
