NO WAY!!! Right after I read your post, I was trying to make
that sound, and my girlfriend wondered what I was doing, and
so I explained (she's also a linguist), and I then remarked that the
sound sounded an awful like a [drum roll please] dog coughing!
So I guess I've probably got the sound right, then. ;)
Anyway, at first your phonology seemed totally out there, but
now that I've seen Lushootseed, I must say, hats off to you. If
you can manage it right, it'll be a thing to see in action (or hear,
I guess).
