Actually, Kerla is probably pretty un-Dravidian, from what I know of the
Dravidian languages.
Here's how I came up with the name "Kerla"...
"Kerla" is the result of using the first three letters of each word in the
phrase "created language." Putting these letters together, one
gets "crelan." Since /k/ in Kerla is always represented by "k," one now
has "krelan." Initial consonant clusters are not permitted, so one simply
switches the r and the e to make "kerlan." Finally, final consonants are
not allowed in basic root/stem-forms, so the n must be dropped,
giving "kerla."
