Numbers, numbers, it's always numbers!
Why arent people collecting interesting sets, like colors or pronouns or
body parts?
Numbers from 0 to 10 in the Kirumb family so far:
Kirumb > Âdlanke > Atlantic
1 ínos ini ine
[i:"nUs] ["ini] ["inE]
2 dóo duo duo
[dU"wU] ["du.O] ["du.O]
3 strí stri stre
["stri:] ["stri] ["strE]
4 kitór kethur kethor
[kI"tu:r] ["kEt_hur] ["kETOr]
5 fiŋk feŋkh feŋx
["fINk] ["fENk_h] ["fENx]
6 vist vesth vesth
["wIst] ["wEst_h] ["vEsT]
7 hifta heft heft
["hIftA] ["hEft] ["Eft]
8 ostó âstu âsto
[Us"tu:] ["@stu] ["@stO]
9 nava nióa nióa
[nA"wA] ["Jo.A] ["Jo.A]
10 jisat jesath jesath
[dZI"sAt] ["dZEsAt_h] ["ZEsAT]
0 séro
["serO]
Notes:
- The zero-word is tentative.
- That's not an <os> > <i> change in the one-word; the descendent is
from an inflected form.
- I'm not entirely sure about [sT] in the six-word. It's good the way
it is, but it's giving me the jibblies.
- The [n] > [J] in the nine-word is due to a dialect variation, as from
an original *[JA"wA].
- now that I think about it, 'zero' would probably be borrowed from
Drake instead, so disregard that <séro>.
