Kamakawi Unicode Font Question

I'm just about finished with the Kamakawi font (600+ glyphs),
and I was thinking of creating a Unicode font to use on my
website (still unfortunate that it's either images or having people
download a font, but oh well).  Since the Conlang Unicode
Registry isn't really being used anymore, what should I do?
Should I just pick some unused codepoints and go with them?
Do people still e-mail Michael at all?
