The Scottish Gaelic name for Edinburgh is Dùn Èideann (or Dùn Éideann if you prefer the older spelling). The Scots name for it is Embro. Although isn't Glasgow (Gaelic: Glaschu; Scots Glesca) bigger? The Irish Gaelic name for Belfast is Béal Feirste. I don't know if Ulster Scots has a different name for it or not. Thomas
