I'm watching Stargate (the movie) on
and was curious once again about the
conlang that was used - it turns out it
was Egyptian as it would have developed
over a few thousand years... Neat idea
and well implemented throughout the
movie. The visuals are great!
I believe that this movie has been
discussed in Conlang List a few times
while I've been with it.
The conlanger was Stuart Tyson Smith,
Ph.D., a research associate
at the Institute of Archaeology at the Fowler
Museum of Cultural History
here's some Links... that I found during
commercials...
This one deals with the language a little bit
and explains how the actors took to it.

There are other links within that site that give
info on each actor and info on the movie.
This one is a review... it gave Stargate three *** stars:

There are quite a few other links under Lycos...
Oh, wait a minute here comes the movie again... :-)
Neat ship too...
