Japanese for us geeks! :)

Since I am of the opinion that I must not leave this world without learning
to speak Japanese with relative fluency, I decided this evening to initiate
this major quest of mine in the field of language learning.
I surfed around looking for some site on the apprehension of this most
harmonious-sounding of human speech forms... Well, as you may have
encountered, there is a big jungle out there of stupid material
saying "Learn X language in X steps and just X months/weeks/days/hours!!!
GUARANTEED!!!" Oh my.
I prayed for some text with IPA notations and technical explanations of
grammatic juice... And lo, I miraculously found this wonderful site written
by someone who might as well be a conlanger; he even prefers to use
phonemic notations and enjoys explaining irregularities in a diachronic
context (!):

Anyway... I just wanted to point this site out to any of you who may also
have an unsatisfied interest in the Japanese language :)
Regards,
Óskar
