Spiders are definitely bugs IMU, although I can somewhat understand the
hesitation on the part of some to include them. I am, however,
flabbergasted that anyone who uses "bug" at all in its more general
sense would hesitate to include flies and mosquitos in the category.
Flies are, to me, archetypical bugs. I consider them more buglike even
than ants, beetles, and roaches.
