I've always ended up regretting using words that only different by one
letter. It seems to be a cause of endless confusion, especially if the
language is meant to be spoken. One place I worked in had myself (Gary) and
three other men named Larry, Terry, and Jerry. We never knew whose name was
being called over the P.A. In a noisy environment six, seven, eight, nine,
and ten (lun, lan, len, lon, lin) will all sound like L*N to the listener.
