CHAT: California vowels

I wrote that before I had read your further posts on the subject,
and what's more, the tone of the post to which I was responding
was in the same vein as the many people I've spoken to from regions
where <y'all> does not predominate.  If I was generalizing to you,
I apologize, but perhaps you can understand if you reread the
context in which you said it:

This does not sound like a person who has any first hand experience
with that pronoun.  It sounds like a person who has made his judgements
based off of the Hollywoodization of Southern life, which is, to say
the least, inaccurate.  Again, I'm sorry that we had this confusion
of intent.
