See now, I think the problem is not FLOES, but FNCUES: fish and chips
under-exposure syndrome. If America had its fair share or fish and chips
shops, you'd eventually have seen the word before being over-exposed to
foreign languages. (I don't think I've never seen a fish-and-chips shop
selling hake, or maybe I have, but they often have things floating around
about fish, and fish and chips isn't fast food unless you bother to ring
in advance :)
But I guess it wouldn't help if it was a cake called 'ike'... ('Ike' seems
an odd name for a cake. I'm being entirely hypothetical.)
