On the subject of children's pronunciation, I read once that
the Tok Pisin word _abus_ 'animal' is a childish
pronunciation of _animals_. Creaolist Peter Mühlhäusler
realized this when his daughter used just that
pronunciation.
BTW my son at 8 y-o still and in spite of correction uses
the folk etymology _datnummer_ for _datum_ 'date'. While
_nummer_ 'number' kind of makes sense _dat-_ seems to be an
empty morph in this context. The /tn/ doesn't look like an
easy thing to pronounce either.
In my Romance conlang R3 I have -dr-/-tr- > -rr- not only as
a generalization from _quadraginta > quarranta_ (_quarrante_
in R3) but also because I had just that as a kid,
e.g. _batteri > barri_ [batt@'ri:] > [ba'tri:] > [bar'ri:].
