If they're made of plastic, in the UK, at least, they're not jugs. A
'milk jug' is, well, a jug of milk. A card one is definitely a carton.
A glass one a bottle.
I'm not sure about plastic ones. I generally refer to them by
measurement. (eg. six pints of milk). They're the most common package,
here. They come in six pints, four pints, two pints and one pint.
