According to my French teacher, badly.

If I could only remember the Chevraqis verb for to speak/understand
(active/dynamic), I'd attempt an equivalent phrase.  :-p  Maybe the
Qenaren say speaking badly is "to speak like an Avren horse," and the
Avren retort is "to speak like a Qenaren stone," or who knows?
